About the event
Written in 1939, Rodrigo’s twentieth century masterpiece "Concierto de Aranjuez" has been thrilling audiences for almost one hundred years. The second movement "Adagio" has one of the most well-known and recognizable themes, which will transport you to the countryside of Seville with its flamenco lyricism. Antonio Vivaldi’s (1678-1741) "Lute Concerto in D Major" was transcribed for guitar at the turn of the twentieth century and is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and elegant pieces he wrote.
Eduardo will also perform some of the Spanish classical guitar’s most well-known works by Issac Albeniz and Francisco Tarrega.
This concert will culminate with Luigi Boccherini’s "Introduction and Fandango". This lively and spirited Fandango will bring visions to mind of flamenco dancers and castanets. Ole!
